Urban Symbiotics

User Story:

As a Global CEO of an International Development Organisation, I want to operationalise our new 5-year strategy across 10 country offices and embed Agile ways of working.

Urban Symbiotics

Community engagement for regeneration and development programs is often seen as having low return of investment and a pain point for architects, developers, and councils.

Metamorph developed an Agile based engagement strategy to support Urban Symbiotics in establishing a London Borough Residents Advisory Board (RAB)

The aim was to make initial engagement with the recruitment process simple, prioritise one to one conversations with residents and build positive relationships. Urban Symbiotics’ clients wanted a system that allowed them to build insights throughout the process (benefiting ROI); reduce the number of people dropping out of the; and have a pool of residents from the community on hand to support with future projects; they also wanted a way to recognise and reward people’s time and effort.

Impact statement:

As a result of Metamorph’s input, Urban Symbiotics achieved significantly higher levels of response to the initial open call out to the RAB in comparison to recent similar projects. Furthermore, due to this success the RAB programme was restructured by Urban Symbiotics’ client to allow more residents to take part than initially planned for.

We support organisations to design and implement strategy at an organisation wide level, or a functional and team level.

Their founder and CEO wanted to create some headspace and focus on business development, so needed to improve staff engagement and motivation to manage more of the day to day management of the business.
